Primitif SoundsFirstly, Brown Sugar line-up (photo below) consisted of Russell Wood on drums, Ron Ridge on Bass guitar, Danny Mahalovic on lead guitar, Chris Flynn on lead guitar, and Geoff Scard on lead vocals and Blues Harmonica. Formed in 1968 the band made quite an impression at local gigs such as “Mothers” and “Open Door” (same venue, different nights). The band was a little unique due to the fact that Danny and Chris were both excellent lead players with different styles, and dared to have an unusual repertoire which included songs by Jethro Tull, John Mayall and Colosseum.
